Abundantia Entertainment and InVideo have announced an agreement: Bollywood’s largest artificial intelligence-based film studio is taking shape.

Indian entertainment company Abundantia Entertainment and AI-powered video technology platform InVideo have announced a strategic partnership that represents India’s largest structured commitment to AI-based filmmaking to date.

Marking a symbolic moment in the meeting of Bollywood and emerging technologies, the agreement was unveiled at the India AI Film Festival, an event entirely sponsored by Nvidia and hosted by InVideo, held at the Qutb Minar in New Delhi alongside the India AI Impact Summit 2026.

Nvidia is significantly expanding its presence in Indian entertainment as a direct supplier of GPUs, needed for VFX, rendering and post-production, to companies such as InVideo, and also as the developer of a language model for generative AI applications specifically trained for Hindi.

Cinema and artificial intelligence: five AI-driven films in three years

At the heart of the partnership is a clear industrial plan: to develop and produce five AI-driven films over the next three years. Activities will be coordinated by aiON, Abundantia’s AI division, which will integrate InVideo’s generative video technology from the concept stage through visual development and production.

“AI in cinema is now a reality,” said Vikram Malhotra, founder and CEO of Abundantia Entertainment. “Every great leap in cinema, from sound to colour to digital, has expanded the possibilities of storytelling. AI represents the next turning point.”

Sanket Shah, founder and CEO of InVideo, framed the agreement as an extension of the company’s mission to democratise: “Working with a leading studio such as Abundantia Entertainment allows us to bring these capabilities into the world of high-quality filmmaking, building tools and workflows that enable creators to move from an idea to cinematic expression faster and with more freedom than ever. This is about accelerating and empowering creativity, not simply automating it.”

Bollywood’s strategy across AI, streaming and global competition

The collaboration between Abundantia and InVideo is part of a broader strategy through which Bollywood is responding to an increasingly competitive and globalised market. InVideo, with more than 50 million users in over 190 countries and investors such as Tiger Global and Peak XV, formerly Sequoia Capital India, is developing AI-based filmmaking tools with support from a recent collaboration with Google Cloud.

Abundantia, meanwhile, is building on solid experience across cinema and streaming, with successful titles and new AI-driven fantasy projects such as Chiranjeevi Hanuman and Jai Santoshi Mata: Sukh Sampatti Daata. In this context, adopting artificial intelligence is not simply a technological choice but a strategic response: reducing costs, accelerating creative processes and making Indian stories more competitive internationally, without losing the narrative identity that has made Bollywood a global phenomenon.
